NORCOR is the regional adult jail serving Wasco County and three neighboring member counties. Its official bail information documents a current or last-24-hours inquiry through the Adults in Custody channel or by telephone. Research did not find a separate official three-day page, archive, filter, or downloadable report. The public application inspected on August 1, 2026 showed current adults in custody and did not visibly offer even the stated 24-hour released-person selector.
This gap defines the correct Wasco County approach. Do not call the current roster a 72-hour release list. Do not treat three saved roster screens as an official release history. For days two and three, a NORCOR release record and the court case are the durable sources.
Check Wasco County Three-Day Releases
Start with the last known date and jurisdiction. A Wasco arrest can appear in a regional table because NORCOR is not a sheriff-branded county jail. Keep the committing county, court, booking number, and case number together. Those details prevent a Hood River, Sherman, or Gilliam booking from being mistaken for the Wasco event.

- For days two and three, submit a focused request for the physical release timestamp, release type, and receiving agency when disclosable.

- If transfer is possible, check Oregon DOC, VISOR, or the relevant federal or immigration system instead of assuming freedom.

Wasco County 72-Hour Record Fields
Because no official three-day list exists, the needed fields come from more than one record. NORCOR confirms the physical custody event. The court explains its legal basis. A receiving agency may establish that the person stayed in custody after leaving The Dalles.

The live NORCOR table showed name, booking date, charges, bail, Scheduled Release, an image cell, and a generated-at timestamp. Those are current-table fields, not a three-day release dataset. A blank Scheduled Release field does not mean there was no later release, and a date shown there can change.
Wasco Weekend Release Checks
A three-day inquiry often spans a weekend, but NORCOR does not promise a weekend archive or fixed release hour. Security may be posted around the clock by an eligible adult with government identification. NORCOR says it releases as soon as possible after posting, subject to operational work, unit checkout, and changing into civilian clothing. Payment time and door-out time can therefore fall on different sides of a midnight boundary.
Court records add another timing issue. An order can authorize release before jail staff finish processing. Conversely, one case can be dismissed while another warrant or hold remains. After a holiday or weekend, compare the court order with NORCOR's physical release entry rather than choosing whichever timestamp appeared first.

Wasco Release Records After Day One
The NORCOR Public Information page links the request form used after the online window. Identify the person, the approximate three-day interval, Wasco County as the committing jurisdiction, and any known booking or case number. Request the custody-status chronology, order-authorizing release, physical release date and time, release type, and receiving agency or destination when nonexempt.
NORCOR accepts requests in person or by mail at NORCOR Administration, 201 Webber Street, The Dalles, OR 97058. It also accepts email at inquiries@norcor.co.wasco.or.us and fax at 541-298-1082. Ask for electronic delivery and a cost estimate before the request exceeds a stated limit. A narrow three-day date range helps the custodian locate the correct booking episode.
Then check the Wasco County Circuit Court record or The Dalles Municipal Court when that court handled the case. The docket can show a release order, judgment, dismissal, probation terms, warrant, or amended order. It does not replace NORCOR's timestamped physical-release entry.
The official request form asks for requester information, date and time, case number, incident type or location, and a detailed description. It also includes choices for copies and photos or video. For a three-day release inquiry, avoid a broad demand. Specify the exact date range and ask that nonexempt portions be supplied even if some material must be withheld. If NORCOR is not the custodian, ask which agency created the requested record.
Keep the submitted request, acknowledgment, fee estimate, payment proof, produced file, and retrieval date together. That record trail matters when a court order and jail entry use different times. Oregon public-record response law allows fees based on actual cost and requires written notice and confirmation before an estimate over $25 proceeds. Why Wasco Release Data Disappears
NORCOR's documented public history is limited to the phrase “released in the last 24 hours.” It publishes neither an online archive-retention duration nor an exact update cadence. Passing beyond that short window does not erase the agency record. It only changes the access channel from a possible quick lookup to a records request.
A no-result has several possible meanings. The name may be spelled differently, the application may be unavailable, the person may have transferred, or the event may be older than the public window. Restricted or sealed information also may not appear. None of those conditions, by itself, proves a community release.
Current-table details also age at different rates. The generated-at timestamp tells when NORCOR produced that view. A Scheduled Release entry is a planning field and may be blank or may change through a court action or jail-administered credit. Charges and bail describe the booking context, not the later physical outcome. For an older event, replace each screen-based assumption with a named field from the release record.
Note: The public 24-hour window is not NORCOR's legal retention schedule, whose applicable record series must be confirmed with the custodian.
Wasco Release Versus Transfer
A NORCOR departure may lead to the community after security, a court order, case resolution, or local sentence completion. It may instead lead to Oregon DOC after a prison judgment, another county under a warrant, USMS or federal custody, or immigration custody under a detainer. The same absence from the roster can accompany each path.

Oregon DOC's search does not cover a short NORCOR-only booking. VISOR can show a reporting agency's release event, but it is not an official historical record and does not rule out another hold. A community status can mean the person left prison while legal supervision continues; it is not final discharge. For a federal pretrial movement, a missing BOP result proves little because USMS may use a contract jail before any prison designation. The durable three-day conclusion should name both the event and the source: for example, NORCOR physically released the person under a specified court order, or NORCOR transferred the person to a named agency. If the destination is withheld or unknown, say that. Do not turn an unverified blank into a claim of freedom.
